may my right hand forget its skill.
May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth
if I do not remember you,
if I do not consider Jerusalem
my highest joy.
It’s hard to believe it, but I’m sitting in the airport waiting for my plane to leave Israel. Security wasn’t too bad. A group of us are waiting for our flights to take us away.
Our Egypt trip ended well. It was overall an amazing trip. In the coming week I’ll post the details of it. Saturday morning we hiked up Mt. Sinai to watch the sun rise – a sort of climax to the semester. We arrived back in Jerusalem Saturday evening. It felt like we were back home, but it was only a brief stop.
I went to church this morning and spent some time in the Old City in the afternoon. Now as boarding nears, my adventure is coming to end. This has been an amazing semester. It has not been without its difficulties, but it has been worth the challenge. Only the Lord knows where I’ll go…
