Goodbye Israel

If I forget you, O Jerusalem,
may my right hand forget its skill.
May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth
if I do not remember you,
if I do not consider Jerusalem
    my highest joy.

Psalm 137:5-6

Our Egypt trip ended well. It was overall an amazing trip. In the coming week I’ll post the details of it. Saturday morning we hiked up Mt. Sinai to watch the sun rise – a sort of climax to the semester. We arrived back in Jerusalem Saturday evening. It felt like we were back home, but it was only a brief stop.

First glimpse of the sun from atop of Mt. Sinai

I went to church this morning and spent some time in the Old City in the afternoon. Now as boarding nears, my adventure is coming to end. This has been an amazing semester. It has not been without its difficulties, but it has been worth the challenge. Only the Lord knows where I’ll go…
