The Trails Less Traveled

 This is what the LORD says:
  “Stand at the crossroads and look;
    ask for the ancient paths,
  ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
    and you will find rest for your souls.
    But you said, `We will not walk in it.'”

Jeremiah 6:16

There’s something about pulling on a backpack, donning my hat, and setting out to explore a trail. What views will we see? What is around the next bend? How far will we go? As my heart pumps a little faster and sweat oozes from my pores, it makes me feel alive. God didn’t create me to sit in front of the computer all day. He’s given me (and you) a world to explore, whether in Israel with its deep roots in Biblical history and its many hiking trails, or anywhere else in the world.

Metaphorically, what path has God given you to walk?

I enjoy hikes that involve some climbing, like up to this arch in Timnah Park
